Operable transoms are great. We can get them in new windows as well, but I'm not sure if you can get them with the cool bars that come down next to the unit.
I really like the quirky little transom to the right.
I don't think I like the false column on the left, unless it isn't false for some reason, and I don't think I would like the front doors to have so much transparency, but the rest of the set up makes for a nice wide open entry. I particularly like the coat closet door on the right.

I think columns in houses are lame for the most part. I mean, the Greeks had columns outside, not inside the house.
I agree, I would like a front door with more privacy and security, but I think it would be a great door to the backyard or sideyard.
