This was from a tutorial about how to turn a fireplace mantle into a headboard. It's not a great option to place, as you can never move your bed, but a interesting idea if you have a child's room with a fireplace or anywhere you don't want one being played with.
Maybe I do like it... I'm not sure.

Color can be bold without being eye-gaugingly trendy. I love the simplicity of this mantle arraignment- all strict and stern lines with vintage (and lovingly used) toys. This is the test- can I mix them without being cheesy or so obvious?

I love just about everything this room. But I absolutely love white vintage fireplace; the dark, thin floorboards; and the combination of modern wire chairs paired with the worn wooden table.

These baseboards are pretty sweet, too.
