I love this mobile. The person who made it used some bird ornaments from Anthropologie. I think it is gorgeous. But do mobiles just entertain kids instead of helping them sleep?
We have agreed we both love tree lined streets and weeping willows... So here we have trees overhanging and growing together. I usually don't like the white twinkly lights, but I think this is gorgeous. I love how the leaves are lit and the ambiance it makes.

Is it trashy to have your Christmas lights up all year if you turn them on all year too? Because this would look pretty cool with those big colored bulbs from the 70s too.

Kids Bed ...

So I really like this bed. I think if our kids have a shared room, something like this can give them a real sense of space (if we can't get them into a dormer bed). I like the beadboard ceiling, the light, the trim in the corners, the stairs and shelving, although I might move the stairs to the side. I would probably add a curtain track all the way around the interior.

So this floor is made from wine crates. And though I am no connoisseur of fine wines, or bad wines really, I think I love it. We could also make it out of apple or orange crates or something that actually has meaning to us.

My love for mismatching grows. I love the idea of having kitchen chairs which match in structure reupholstered in mismatching vintage fabrics in a color key.

Minus the pale tan of the walls, I love the colors in this room. Overall white, but each accent color is so bold and used so sparingly. The blues, reds, greens, and oranges are the same vividness and work so beautifully together.

How awesome are these little gondolas strung across the ceiling? My Swiss Miss heritage is gushing. Also, it's just plain cool.

All right Dave, is this too girly?

If I had found this headboard on the side of the road I would have been all dramatic and made gagging sounds, but refurbished and decorated in the after picture- I kind of love it. Maybe it's the dark gray paint (Honestly, I'm a little obsessed with the gray lately. I think I blame Washington. Zing!), but I want to climb in this bed and watch The Royal Tennenbaums or something.

Dave, what do you think of these chairs with the new kitchen table? Granted, they are Ikea, but they are very country-ish, but with a touch of modernity, too. Thoughts?

When we first moved into our Water St. apartment the previous (and horribly dirty) tenants had a low rack of lockers that they used for a coffee table/shelf. I thought it looked awesome.

Oh how I love these colors: the bright yellow, medium and light blue, with touches of orange... Though those Lucite Queen Anne chairs make me want to puke a bit.

Charcoal grey cabinets... (See, Dave, I'm not the only who likes them). And notice the apron sink with the metal front. Also cool: the butcher's block counter, the plank ceiling, and the tile floor (travertine?).

1. Love the giant checkered floors. Classic kitchen tiles.
2. Beautiful crown molding. It's is giant, but the scale works with such a large room and that fact that it's paint color matched the wall.
3. Shaker style cabinets.
4. Amazing windows. These would be a little harder to get...

I like so many things in this picture.
1. The table and chairs are so handsome and clean looking. They are a little masculine, but graceful enough to balance it.
2. The fridge in the background. It's the opposite of the last fridge I talked about (the cabin like one), but lovely. I love that it's not one of those giant Sub Zero fridges, but this cute skinny ice box.

I like how these floors are rough hewn and wide.

What do you think of this bed?

Yes, please.

Gorgeous fridge. It reminds me of the cabin. And it would definitely add a homey and warm feeling to a kitchen. Do they make these more energy efficient?

I love this old wooden work table in the kitchen.

I love this porch- it is the perfect width. I want one where you can have one person sitting in a porch rocker and have enough room for someone else to sit on the railing in front of them. Or wide enough to dance. That's nice, too.

I love these vintage ovens. I could deal with them not being what most would call "accurate," I'm kind of use to that anyway. They are so awesome looking.

I am loving white kitchen cabinets with black counter tops lately. Sharp.
